Holland Sports Athletics Newsletter – April/May 2019

Welcome to this month’s newsletter. Please take the time to have a look and support the Mighty Blues of Holland Sports AC and your athlete. Let us see more athletes competing – all age groups from U11 upwards. The age group you are in is your age as at 31st August 2019. So if you are 10 now but 11 before 31st August 2019 then you are U13. Sports competitions provide an opportunity to review your progress as an athlete, help us as coaches to help you and strengthen friendship and understanding among our athletes. We are pleased to have an increasing number of parents supporting sessions and helping with team management. We are co-hosting the YDL LAG on April 27th at David Weir Leisure Centre at Carshalton. We would ask for more support on the day as I am going to be very busy – I am Field Referee as well as being the Announcer so will not be able to deal with any [...]

January 2018 News

Happy New Year to all our customers! 2017 was a bit of a crazy year for us at Holland Sports, which meant our newsletters were a little 'newsless'! So, to kick off the new year, we thought we'd put some effort into giving a brief run down of what happened in 2017, and what is yet to come in 2018! Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who supported us during 2017. Not just our members, but everyone who attended the various events we held. At the end of 2016, we'd heard that Tandridge District Council were planning to upgrade the old 5 a side football area at the rear of the club to a new Multi Use Games Area, but this couldn't happen until the council had secured more funds. As a committee we decided to make a donation of £2000 to help achieve this. The plan was for a fully fenced football / basketball and tennis court area, and this was installed at [...]

New range of Premium Gins added

Pick your favourite gin and add one of our range of Fever Tree mixers to create your perfect drink! If gin is not your thing, we also have an ever increasing range of premium vodka's to choose from. Bombay Saphire 40% Bombay Sapphire is a London Dry premium gin, which is uniquely different from other gins in the marketplace. This difference lies in the fragrances and flavours of its ten exotic botanicals coupled with a unique distillation process called Vapour Infusion. It's a unique blend of Mediterranean lemon peel, juniper berries, almonds and orris, balanced by a heady mix of coriander, liquorice, angelica and cassia bark and spiced with cubeb berries and grains of paradise. When combined according to a recipe dating back to 1761 something exquisite is brought to Bombay Sapphire. Unlike some gins, which 'boil' their botanicals together with the spirit, Bombay Sapphire distils its spirit alone. The spirit vapour from this distillation then gently passes through a copper basket containing the botanicals. [...]

We need your help!

In order for us to continue driving the club forward, we'd like your input on a few questions we have in our online survey. We'd welcome feedback from both members and non-members, so please feel free to share with your friends! You will need a valid email address to take part, but all answers are anonymous, we only receive the 'number' of responses to each answer. Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a Prize Draw which will take place when the survey closes. Click on the link below to fill in our short survey, which should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. https://goo.gl/forms/xXQWTFZpUJa9H7c33

Holland Sports & Social Association – A bit about us

A bit about the Holland Sports & Social Association...... The Holland Sports & Social Association (HSSA) is exactly what the name suggests! The HSSA is made up of a committee of volunteers who act as leaseholders of the Mill Lane playing fields and pavillion, with an objective to further develop sport and outdoor activities for the local community. The association is not for profit, which means every penny taken above the everyday running costs of the association goes back into further developing the facilities of both the Pavillion itself and the outdoor environment of the playing fields. The Holland Sports Football club caters for all ages, from 5 years to senior and have achieved huge success over the past couple of seasons. The Holland Sports Athletics club offer a range of field and track training for all ages, and recently fundraised over £100,000 to improve the running track, including additional drainage and a new running surface. The Holland Sports Social club cater for the slightly [...]
