Welcome back to your club!

We are now open!

As you can appreciate, we have been working hard to make sure Holland Sports is safe for both our members and our staff.

There have been a lot of changes, and things will be a lot different from what you are used to. The rules in place are specific to Holland Sports. Other places may do things differently, but the risk assessment we produced from the Government guidelines are what the committee feels is right for the club to operate safely and effectively.

We hope the information below will help you feel confident in returning to the club in the not too distant future.

There is an element of responsibility required from you and your party, and a common-sense approach will be required by all club users. We understand that some of the rules we have implemented may be difficult, but please respect any instructions given to you by our staff who have been instructed by the committee to uphold these rules as far as practical. Continued abuse of the rules or our staff may result in your membership being revoked. None of us wants that!

HSSA COVID COVID-19 OPERATING RULES FOR MEMBERS (Updated 29th July 2020)

BEFORE SETTING OFF FOR THE CLUB

Initially, the club will be open for members AND THEIR GUESTS ONLY. A valid membership card will be required by every member using the club and must be tapped on the door entry intercom upon first entry.

2m social distancing applies throughout the club and garden. Please do not socialise with other tables or mix with other groups. A maximum of TWO households (or support bubbles) will be permitted on tables inside the club. A maximum of SIX persons from any number of households may sit together outside.

No under 16’s will be allowed to sit inside the club. All under 18’s must be supervised by an adult at all times and are reminded to stay seated with their party.

Space is extremely limited so please call the club on 01883 716529 to check there is space available.

Opening times will be as follows:

  • Monday – Thursday 7.00 pm until 11.00 pm (Please note that the bar may close at 10 pm if it is quiet)
  • Friday, Saturday & Sunday 12pm until 11.00pm

When the bar is open all day, there may be some instances where the staff are performing cleaning tasks. Your patience would be appreciated.

UPON ARRIVAL AT THE CLUB

Upon arriving at the club please follow all signage, paying attention to social distancing if there is a queue.

Please use the hand sanitiser located by the outer door before entering the club and tap your membership card on the door entry system. Although the door may already be open, this will help us log members to satisfy Track & Trace obligations.

The main front door will be the ONLY entry point into the club. If there is someone queuing in the foyer, please wait by the front door. This also applies to those outside needing the toilet or wanting to purchase more drinks, you must come round to the front door.

Members must wait by the floor markings near the internal door until bar staff invite them to the ordering area of the bar. Members already inside the club will have priority over members waiting to come in, so please be respectful of this.

Staff will allocate an available table and explain the new rules if any clarification is needed.  All members of the party other than the one-person ordering should sit down as soon as possible at the allocated table, following the floor markings.

A one-way system is in place inside the bar, although some courtesy and common sense will be required for those exiting the toilets and returning to their tables.

ORDERING DRINKS UPON ARRIVAL

One member from a group must order and pay for their party’s drinks at the ordering point.

We would prefer contactless payments, but cash is also welcomed. Members are also invited to preload their membership cards with funds.

Staff will pour drinks and place on a tray at the collection point.

When your order is ready, the staff will ask the member to collect their tray from the collection point and go directly to their table.

ORDERING ADDITIONAL DRINKS

For additional rounds of drinks customers seated inside are requested to use common sense and courtesy returning to the bar, keeping the 2m distancing rule in mind. If sitting inside, DO NOT leave your table until the ordering point is clear.

Members outside will need to join the queue at the main door. Please return you tray and empty glasses to the table by the cellar door.

Only ONE member from each table is permitted to the bar at any one time.

Members inside are asked to bring their tray and empty glasses back to the table by the bar

Although a one-way system is in place throughout the club, some common sense and courtesy will be required by all club users, especially to those queuing or returning from the toilet.

GENERAL NOTES

  • A one-way system will be operating throughout the club. Exit from the club will be from the bottom (dartboard) door only. Patio doors will be kept locked shut.
  • There will be an element of common sense and courtesy navigating around the building, please respect other people’s space.
