Welcome to Holland Sports & Social Assoctiation - The heart of Hurst Green
The Holland Sports & Social Association (HSSA) is exactly what the name suggests. The HSSA is made up of three main clubs; The Football Club, The Darts Club and the Athletics Club.
As well as the members of these clubs, the HSSA also welcomes applications from people who want to become members to enjoy the more social activities that we offer, such as band nights, quiz nights, televised live sport, bingo and poker.
The association is run by a committee of volunteers who act as leaseholders of the Mill Lane playing fields and pavillion, with an objective to further develop sport and outdoor activities for the local community. The association is not for profit, which means every penny taken above the everyday running costs of the association goes back into further developing the facilities of both the Pavillion itself and the outdoor environment of the playing fields.
We also host a number of community events during the year, and since 2017 have donated over £17,000 to local good causes.
After a successful fundraising drive by members of the Athletics club and Association, the Trim Trail is now complete and was offcially opened by Olympian Jade Lally at the end of November. The Holland Sports Get Fit Club started its first free sessions in January 2019 which continue to be a huge benefit to members of the local community.
